Dr Bernd Mueller

Dr Bernd Mueller

Bernd Mueller has been the FTEPR project's research officer, a role in which he travelled extensively through rural Ethiopia and Uganda to conduct the project's fieldwork. Currently, he works at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome as Rural Employment Expert. He has extensive research and work experience on labour markets, agricultural value chains, poverty and development, particularly in East Africa.

John Sender is Professor Emeritus of Economics at SOAS.  He has designed surveys and conducted fieldwork in many rural areas of Africa and Asia over a period of almost 40 years, usually focusing on the development of labour markets.

Turinawe is an experienced researcher and academic who has participated in a wide range of socio-economic research projects in Uganda and beyond. He has worked as assistant researcher at Makerere University and as lecturer at St. Lawrence University, Kampala.
